Try Before You Buy is a unique chance to test the exciting Ranger Quadra battery flash system before you buy.

Ranger Quadra is an ultra light portable 400 ws flash system for multiple on-location or studio use.  The RQ power pack offers the integrated EL-Skyport trigger and remote system for wireless operation and in addition many individually programmable features such as the RED-Eye pre-flash management system.

The RQ Flashhead is a small light source with an integrated superefficient LED Pilolight and the omega plug-in flash tube combined with the integral reflector offers an even light distribution, which can be modified with reflectors, umbrellas and soft-lights.

2010 WORKSHOPS

ImageMe's Photography Workshop series has kicked off for 2010!

A new 'Art of Photography' course has been scheduled. Please see below for dates and details. This course is a great foundation for all the other courses ImageMe provide.  It is perfect for people who are serious about photography and want to build a solid understanding, or to fill the gaps in their knowledge.

Workshops are limited to six people - allowing for very personalised instruction.
Courses take place at our studio @ 84a Hurstmere Rd, Takapuna.

Some workshops also include a location shoot.  Afternoon tea is provided.
 
(A digital SLR camera is required).


Getting comfortable in Manual
(Sunday 21 March, 1pm - 6pm.  Rain date Sunday 28 March - $165)

This is a great follow-on from the Art of Photography
Revision of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and the exposure triangle
Decision-making charts for choosing settings, incl. white balance
Trouble-shooting: common problems
Trouble-shooting: students bring along photos with problems to discuss and find solutions
Lots of practice shooting in manual, in a variety of settings

Mastering light
(Sunday 11 April, 1pm - 6pm. Rain date Sunday 18 April - $165)

Exposure: different options for getting it right
Direction: texture, mood, using backlighting and flare
White balance: creative uses, decision-making flowchart, practice
Combining light sources eg. using flash on a bright day to create a dark and dramatic sky
Bouncing and reflecting light
Negative fill – creating shadows
Placement of people and objects in the light, ‘feathering’ the light
Includes a location shoot.
